This brand identity book serves as a visual graphics guide to the curation of this art exhibit and indoor skatepark. Sk8-of-the-Art appeals to the youth and young adult generations whom enjoy the freedom of expression and the skate culture. The cover of the brandbook is made out of grip tape in order to help convey the literal feel of the art exhibition. In addition, the letterforms and skateboard on the logos are hand drawn in order to represent the artistic hand of an individual as seen throughout the illustration styles often used for graphics within the skate culture.
The Pitch: “Sk8-of-the-Art brings skate culture to the public with an emphasis on art. This exhibit doubles as an indoor skatepark in which people of all generations and backgrounds may enjoy the art or if they happen to have a board, can even skate or learn to skate.”
